Workshop of the Competition Law Research Center March 10, 2017

On 10 March 2017 the Competition Law Research Center (Pázmány Péter Catholic University) organized an OTKA workshop t itled „Public Interest Considerations in Competition Law”

During the event researchers and PhD students of the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, University of Warsaw, HAS Centre for Social Sciences, Eötvös Loránd University, University of Wurzburg, Central European University, University of East Anglia and Pázmány Péter Catholic University shared their expertise on various aspects of competition law. The workshop focused on the the competition policy and legal questions of reconciling competition with other public policy goals. The afternoon session focused on the specific problems related to the control of M&As, involving not only merger test related substantial issues, but also the optimal allocation of tasks between various public authorities.
