Each incoming student receives a personal tutor who helps to find a flat to rent and in any other matter.

The academic year is divided into two semesters. The 1st semester (autumn term) starts at the beginning of September, while the 2nd semester (spring term) starts at the beginning of February.

Classes are held from mid-September to mid-December and mid-February to mid-May. Students applying to the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences are recommended to arrive one week before the semester starts for orientation. At the end of each semester, students have an exam period for oral and/or written exams. There is a one-week break in the middle of each semester (autumn and spring break).

Please bear in mind that the Erasmus period should also cover the exam term! Exams can also be taken one week before the exam period during the pre-examination week.

Foreign students might find accommodation either in private flats or in dormitories.

There are two possible ways to arrange accommodation:

You search for accommodation yourself (a one-room flat can be rented for approximately EUR 270-300/month incl. bills: water, electricity etc.). You have the opportunity to rent an apartment or a whole flat in Budapest, you can reduce your costs if you share your flat with other students. For more information please visit the following web-sites - please select apartment possibly within the lines at the attached
