For innovation, openness and relevance, we need multiliteracies. Thus, students should acquire linguistic and cultural competences in working languages of the EU as well as in developing socio-cultural skills and transversal competences necessary in gaining experience and access into the academic and workforce environments of the 21st century.
The Foreign Languages Department's tailor-made language and communication competence program for students aged 18-25 and as part of the Lifelong Learning objectives for students aged 45-60, provides an essential linguistic and intercultural survival kit to enter and succeed in the Hungarian job market.
For legal students eight different subjects are offered related to legal terminology. Being receptive to the needs of our students, we have been mentoring the fortnightly English-speaking Debate Club organized and monitored by students since 2011. Concerning academics, our lecturers and master teachers have been giving talks at conferences in Applied Linguistics and International Relations worldwide. We also welcome ERASMUS students who are interested in English, French, Italian or German Legal Terminology.
