At the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Faculty of Law and Political Sciences there is several ongoing research, both in research centres and individually. The most important researches are carried out in research groups and at research centres.

The currently operating research centres (eg. Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and Competition Law Research Centre) won more than 100 Million HUF in the last five years for research in environmental law and competition law. Several other research projects were funded by the Hungarian Scientific Research Fund, for example on the operation of the state between the two world wars in the successor states of the Monarchy; or the appreciation of competition in Hungary.

The research centres are institutionalised forms of organising research and currently the following research centres are operating at the Faculty:
