On Thursday and Friday, June 13–14th, 2024, the Department for Roman Law of the Law School organises a commemoration in honour of Prof Wolfgang Waldstein, Professor of Roman Law at the University of Salzburg, who passed away in November, 2023.
On Thursday, Professor Waldstein’s oeuvre will be presented via three lectures (Christoph Ohly, Viola Heutger, Nadja El Beheiri), and music by the Waldstein Quartet led by Elisabeth Waldstein. On Friday, Professor Waldstein will be commemorated with scientific presentations in German and in English language. The workshop will be attended by his colleagues from Salzburg, as well as by contributors from the University of Bonn, the Lateran University, the Jagiellonian University in Poland, and from the Catholic University of Valparaíso.
