On May 29, 2026, the prestigious Springer publishing house in Switzerland released the new book of Dr. Richárd Schmidt— lawyer, arbitrator and faculty member in our faculty’s Department of International Private Law—titled The Freedom and Limits of International Choice of Forum. This English-language book examines the basis and limits of the parties’ private autonomy in the field of international choice of forum, in the context of jurisdiction and arbitration agreements, with particular emphasis on asymmetric clauses that grant one party additional rights regarding the choice of the dispute resolution forum.
