The President of the National Office for the Judiciary has launched an annual scientific competition in memory of György Mailáth, former President of the Hungarian Royal Curia, from 2014.
Under the competition, law students and court staff may submit papers in separate sections on civil law, criminal law, labour law, administrative law, European law and general court administration. In all cases, the proposed topics are closely linked to judicial practice.
Papers are evaluated by a jury composed of members from all levels of the judicial system.
