On 3 October 2023, at 13:00, Dr. Prof. Eliza Lvova gave a lunchtime lecture in the Dean's Council Room entitled: Hanging relations between the European Union and Ukraine: Quo Vadis?

Lvova, a professor at the Odessa State Internal Affairs University, spoke about the opportunities and obstacles to Ukraine's accession to the EU. She spoke about the challenges of corruption, the agricultural structure in Ukraine, which is very different from the EU's, and environmental policy issues. She also gave an insight into the process of policy convergence between the EU and Ukraine, outlining the reciprocal political gestures made since the Russian aggression.
