Professor Patricia Santos Rodríguez from the University of Universidad CEU San Pablo, Madrid, presented a lunch time lecture addressing some recent developments in the Catholic Church's social teaching as regards the recent migration wave. One of the most recent documents entitled 'The chaos of migration, the migration of chaos – VIII. Report on the Social Doctrine in the World', published in 2017 by a group of experts invited by Pope Francis, recalls the importance of protecting our Christian culture at a national level, solving the political problems in donor countries and that demographic issues should be addressed with government policies supporting families, instead of promoting migration.
