The so called "Balaton team" consists of the the former members of a joint French-Hungarian project (Németh Ildikó, Paksy Máté and Tattay Szilárd). The name has been thus traced to this project. This is team is fully independent in every sense, operates in the spirit of the social scientific objectivity with the practical aim of finding sources for its legal researches and producing academic outputs that can be measured by international standards.
The hopeful inclusion of the team in the Ereky Research Center enables its members to achieve the above goals and promotes the development of dialogue with other disciplines. The members of the team – postdoctoral researchers recognised by their academic contexts and a doctoral student upcoming her degree – are dealing with state theory, legal philosophy and private international law.
