1st Annual Conference on EU Law, Competition and Sport

A Versenyjogi Kutatóközpont szervezésében 2024. május 24-én 9 órai kezdéssel kerül megrendezésre a „1st Annual Conference on EU Law, Competition and Sport” című angol nyelvű nemzetközi konferencia.

A tudományos esemény három panelben foglalkozik az uniós jog, a versenyjog, valamint a sportjog aktuális kérdéseivel, érintve az állami támogatások kérdéskörét, illetve a hivatalos sportesemények megrendezéséhez kapcsolódóan azt a kérdést, hogy a sportegyesületeket és szövetségeket milyen mértékben szükséges a versenyjogi szabályok hatálya alá vonni. 

A konferenciát Dr. Szilágyi Pál, a Versenyjogi Kutatóközpont igazgatója a Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem Jog- és Államtudományi Karának egyetemi docense, valamint Prof. Dr. Tóth Tihamér, az Európai Unió Törvényszéke bírájának köszöntői nyitják meg. Ezt követően nyitó beszéd hangzik el az „Európai Unió Törvényszékének szerepe és az új előzetes döntéshozatali hatáskörrel kapcsolatos kihívások (The role of the General Court of the EU and challenges of the new preliminary ruling competence)” és az „Európai Unió Törvényszékének közelmúltbeli ítéletei (Recent judgments of the General Court of the EU)” témákban az Európai Unió Törvényszékének bíráitól.

The international scientific conference entitled „1st Annual Conference on EU Law, Competition and Sport” is organized by the Competition Law Research Center.

The three panels of the conference deal with the current issues of EU law and competition law related to the theme of sport. Such as the organization of professional sport events and the topic of state aids.

The paricipants of the international scientific conference will be welcomed by Pál Szilágyi (Director of the Competition Law Research Center) and Tihamér Tóth (judge of the General Court of the EU). In addition opening speeches will be held by judges of the General Court of the EU regarding the following topics: „The role of the General Court of the EU and challenges of the new preliminary ruling competence” and „Recent judgments of the General Court of the EU”.
